Istanbul Lütfi Kırdar Convention and Exhibition Center

Having served as a sports and exhibition venue between 1988 and 1996, the Istanbul Lütfi Kırdar Sports and Exhibition Hall was transformed into an international convention center in 1996 following the United Nations’ decision to hold the Habitat II Summit in Istanbul. With this transformation, it was renamed the Istanbul Lütfi Kırdar International Convention and Exhibition Center and began serving the tourism and meetings industry.

Located in the Congress Valley, the meeting point of culture, art, and business, Istanbul Lütfi Kırdar offers an excellent venue for events of all kinds. The Main Building and the Rumeli Hall, with their advanced technical infrastructure and food and beverage services, have the capacity to host a wide range of events, from international congresses, fairs, and exhibitions to cocktail receptions, gala dinners, film premieres, and cultural and artistic events. Transportation

• Taxi: Approximate travel times by taxi from the airports to Istanbul Lütfi Kırdar International Convention and Exhibition Center are as follows:
  • Istanbul Airport (European Side): 37 minutes
  • Sabiha Gökçen Airport (Asian Side): 55 minutes
• Metro: By using the M2 Yenikapı–Hacıosman metro line, the Istanbul Lütfi Kırdar International Convention and Exhibition Center can be easily reached from Osmanbey or Taksim stations. Both stations are approximately a 7-minute walk from the venue. Transportation is also available from Taksim station via the F1 Taksim–Kabataş funicular line.
• Metrobus: From the Mecidiyeköy station, the venue can be reached by transferring to the metro or bus.
• Bus: Direct bus services to Harbiye are available from many central locations such as Taksim, Eminönü, and Mecidiyeköy. The TRT Istanbul Radio bus stop is approximately a 2-minute walk from the Istanbul Lütfi Kırdar International Convention and Exhibition Center.
• Dolmuş (Shared Taxi): The Beşiktaş–Harbiye dolmuş line operates from across the Beşiktaş Ferry Pier to Harbiye Street. The Harbiye Dolmuş Stop is approximately a 3-minute walk from the Istanbul Lütfi Kırdar International Convention and Exhibition Center.
